Hi, I'm lz4.
My name's Lav, better known as lz4 (or fishboy). I split my time between security research, penetration testing, reverse engineering, anti-cheat development, and building my own tools, currently ByteHook, an exploiting script I'm developing for Roblox.
About me
I currently focus on penetration testing, anti-cheat development, and building my own scripts, including ByteHook, an exploiting script in active development for Roblox. Earlier on I worked across a broader range of game security, from exploiting client-side logic to gaining server-side access through compromised assets.
Turning professional
In progressMade the shift to focus fully on penetration testing, reverse engineering, and general development, including ByteHook, an exploiting script currently in progress.
Moved on from exploiting
ResolvedStepped back from exploit development after realizing it wasn't a sustainable path. That's since shifted, and the goal now is for scripting work to bring in steady income.
Early exploit work
ArchivedBuilt small exploits for games including Deepwoken and Robot 64, among others.
Active engagements
What I'm building and working on right now, alongside a look back at earlier projects.
Currently developing ByteHook, an exploiting script for Roblox. Still early, more details to come as it takes shape.
Currently contributing volunteer penetration-testing work, using it as a way to broaden my skill set into new areas alongside what I already know well.
Earlier on, I built scripts for other users, most free, some priced around $5–10. Simple projects, but useful for learning and sharpening my general Luau knowledge.
Built a number of anti-cheats that I stress-tested and pentested myself. My exploit-development background meant I could handle both sides without a separate tester. Most are private now or no longer maintained.
Technical skills
Self-rated, focused on the skills I use day to day and continue to improve.
Let's talk.
Feel free to reach out, I respond, just not always quickly.
